Science Space is a place to be inspired about what the future holds and empowered to help change it for the better. We are proudly home of the DIGISTAR 6, NSW’s most digitally advanced Planetarium. The 4k laser projection system is a first for Australia and allows the public to experience science and technology like never before.
Science Space is founded upon the principles of education, hands-on learning and accessibility. Existing to advocate the value of science and technology and increase general science literacy, we house over 90 interactive exhibits, Science Shows, Workshops and Australia’s #1 Planetarium to the Illawarra region. In 2019, we launched the very first indoor starlight cinema experience in the Illawarra, SciFri Cinema.
Looking for a fun but educational STEM excursion for your students? Stimulate your students’ natural curiosity with two floors of interactive science exhibits and inquisitive science and planetarium shows suitable for students from preschool through to high school. We can accommodate group sizes of 20 to 240, and tailor excursions to ensure your group is getting the most out of their experience.
